During the mission week 2008 of the Mission für Südost-Europa (Mission for South Eastern Europe) I visited the Turkish evening which was prepared by Turkish believers. That evening a Turkish pastor gave his testimony and reported the following:

“I became a believer in Jesus Christ in 1971, after someone had given me a flyer in the streets of the city of Baden-Baden. I read the tract and ordered a Bible. This Bible I had been studying carefully in the months to come. Finally I gave me life to Jesus Christ. At a later time I moved to another city, but years thereafter I still thought, each time I drove with my car throw Baden-Baden: You should visit the believers who gave you that flyer a few years ago. After a careful search for these believers, I visited one of these German tract distributors.

We were sitting in his living room, and I asked him: ‘Do you still distribute tracts?’ ‘No! We had been doing this for years, but we never saw any fruit.’ Thereupon I looked at him and said to him: ‘I myself am a fruit of it! I became a believer through one of your tracts.’ The German brother had tears in his eyes, and he declared: ‘Yes, we should have known that the Word of God never returns empty…’“
